When you “rest as awareness” you shift your focus from identifying with thoughts, emotions, or sensations to recognizing yourself as the observing presence or awareness behind these experiences. It involves a conscious letting go of effort and resting in the natural state of awareness itself.Instead of clinging to or resisting thoughts and feelings, you allow them to arise and pass without judgment, seeing them as transient phenomena within the space of awareness. There’s no need to control or manipulate your experience; you simply rest in the present moment, aware of what is happening without interference. You notice that awareness itself is constant and unchanging, even as experiences come and go.Turn attention inward, noticing what is aware of your thoughts, feelings, and perceptions.Allow yourself to rest naturally, without trying to achieve a specific state or outcome.Explore the sense of being aware. What is the quality of awareness itself? Does it have a shape, color, or boundary? As we spend more time identifying with awareness rather than our thoughts and emotions we live in greater peace and ease. Our true essence is not the mind or body but the open, spacious awareness in which all experiences occur.
