| Columbus Day Weekend Yoga and Meditation Retreat
October 5 - 8, 2012 w/ Surya Brooks, Maine "All the Yogas, whatever their source and character, have only one aim: to save you from the calamity of separate existence, of being a meaningless dot in a vast and beautiful picture." Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj
Using the practices of yoga asana, yin yoga, pranayama, restorative poses, self-inquiry, meditation and silence we will explore ways we can open to the unfolding of each moment, approaching our practice and our life with freshness while sensing freedom from habitual reactions and patterns of bodily holding, thought and behavior. Yoga and meditation increase our awareness, offering a way to entrust ourselves with geater confidence and clarity to a deeper intelligence from which to relate with all of life. Silent retreat offers a unique opportunity to become familiar with the stillness and ease that is always present, allowing us to embace life with greater wisdom, joy and compassion. |
"Wherever you are, if you accept it, the suffering ends. Whatever you reject becomes hell and whatever you accept becomes heaven." Osho This three night retreat begins with evening meal at 6pm Friday and ends at about mid-morning on Monday after a late breakfast.
