This Yoga Retreat is for women who need time and support away from the routine and stimulation of daily life to remember a slower rhythm..... Here, in timeless days by the sea, practice deepens, quiets, settles. Life priorities shift, inner awareness opens and........ something of the sacred has space and time to emerge.
The retreat location is in Moonhole, a secluded area encompassing one end of the island of Bequia. The neighboring homes for the retreat are ecologically built to not disturb the natural environment and open to the trade winds and to spectacular view of the sea from the stone terraces. The area is known for its simple elegance and rustic ambiance with no electricity. Kerosene and gas lights are set out each night. Each home has full bathrooms including showers.
There is a quiet beach with great swimming and snorkeling and very few people.
The island feels from another time......very laid back with little commercialization. Sheep and goats graze on high pastures above the sea ...... and the walking and the beaches are rare in the Caribbean for their untouched natural beauty. Bequia is 7 square miles and home to a mix of native Bequians of African, Scottish, Irish, French, Indian and Carib descent. English is the native language and open friendliness is a characteristic for which Bequians have been well known.
